In our previous posts in our AI series, we explored how AI is reshaping the SaaS industry and how lynes is using AI to transform business communication.
Today, we’re turning to real estate. Our portfolio company ProptechOS is moving AI beyond insights — using AI agents to automate and streamline real estate operations.
We asked them how they are working to incorporate AI into their offerings, processes, and daily operations.
Here are their answers:
1. How are you at ProptechOS currently working to include AI in your offering?
Last year, we saw that AI agents became genuinely competent at accomplishing real work on our platform, and that generative AI could write enterprise-grade applications in minutes, not months. That accelerated everything — we doubled down on building a platform for AI agents to perform work for property owners, managing building systems, energy, maintenance, all the operational technology in real estate.
We’re part of the global mission to automate everything people do on a computer. We estimate AI can automate at least 40% of operational work in real estate today.
2. How do you use AI in your product development and internal processes?
We’ve rearranged how we build product. The user experience is now mostly created by people closest to the customers — or even the customers themselves — instead of passing requirements through to developers. Our developers still drive the final product experience, but the pace has increased 10–30x. Onboarding that used to take a developer a week can now be done by a non-developer or an AI agent in an hour.
Outside of development, we record everything we do and run an automated knowledge management system. Meeting follow-ups, quotations, and contracts are created with a capable AI assistant. Same goal internally as for our customers: automate everything we do on a computer. We’ve dedicated 10% of everyone’s time to agentifying our own processes.
3. How do you work to integrate AI into your everyday work?
There is hardly anything we do day-to-day that is neither using AI nor building AI. We have an initiative called Agentic Fridays, where the whole team dedicates a day specifically to using AI to improve our operational and day-to-day work. The idea is to continuously explore how AI tools can make us more effective and automate routine processes.
